New Handpainted Seashell Tables - Perfect for a Cottage

I have just finished this handpainted table with seashells, actually there are 2 tables each with different seashells on the top. These are cute tables and would complement your beach cottage decor. I have painted sand and pebbles for a textured look under the shells. There are two identical tables except for the painted top where I have different shells. The other table has a decorative starfish hand painted on the top surface. The pair of tables is $400. and can be shipped.
Thanks, PJ

New Gallery Artisans Harbor, Old Saybrook, CT offering paintings and decorative furniture.

New gallery Artisans Harbor is now offering my work. They are located at 188 Main Street, Old Saybrook, Connecticut between Paperback Cafe and Walts Market. There is a full display of my newest hand painted furniture and paintings.

I just dropped off my large oil painting of the Saybrook Lighthouses (Lynde Light and Outer Light) in the moonlight! This painting is 4.5' x 4.5' and would look great on a large wall. The painting is in the window so it can be seen from the sidewalk. The hours of Artisans Harbor is Wed-Sat 11am to 7pm and Sundays noon to 4pm. Stop in to see the latest painted decorative furniture and paintings.

Painted Cottage Furniture - Next Step Is the Sketch Of the Painting

Here is my sketch for the top of the corner table that I am painting in a cottage furniture style. The shape of the tabletop is like a triangle and I thought this boat would fit nicely. This is an accent table or occasional table and would fit in a beach house or any cottage furniture setting with its white crackle finish. I will be painting this in acrylic paint so check back to follow along.
For a picture of the table look at my previous post here at my blog painted-cottage-furniture-follow-along. Go to Beach Cottage Art to see all of my hand painted cottage furniture for sale. Don't forget that I paint on commission too, so if you would like your favorite scene painted send me an email. Thanks, P.J. Cook

Beach Cottage Decor - Hand Painted Furniture for your Coastal Lifestyle

This is a new painting that I am offering on the hand painted decorative kitchen bar stools. I will be working on a set of three paintings of seashells for the kitchen counter stools that I custom paint. I have a hand painted sand background with the shells done in acrylic paint with the clear finish over the top. These are very durable and can be polished just like wood furniture and would be perfect for your beach cottage decor.

In a few days I will be launching a new web site for my hand painted furniture. Now that I am offering hand painted bar stools, chairs, tables and lazy susans I needed many more pages on my current site pjcookartist.com so I am launching a satellite website of the decorative furniture. Look for my new website in a few days when I will be posting the details later this week. Thanks!

Latest Hand Painted Chair Finished!

Here is the sunset hand painted chair with a dock painted on the seat and continuing up on the back of the chair. I had the chair at a show over the weekend and many people commented on the originality and technique. Many people did not realize that I painted all the wood grain, it looks that authentic.
The distant background in the painting is a sailboat going by the Lynde Point Lighthouse in Old Saybrook, CT. My goal for this project was to portray a dock on the seat of the chair and having it recede into a sunset view on the back of the wood chair. Thanks for all the positive feedback I received at the show. Contact me for info on puchasing the chair. This chair can be shipped.
Thanks, PJ

Hand Painted Table with White Lily

This is my latest hand painted table, it is a more modern design than the beach scenes. I have painted many lily flowers in all colors. I like this white lily with the blue shadows wrapping over the table edge. This is a natural birch wood table with an original acrylic painting of a lily flower. Protective glossy finish over the original painting for durability. Table top is 15" diameter with a height of 18". The painting flows over onto the edge of the table top for a 3 dimensional effect, all hand painted! Can be shipped, email or call for pricing: pj@pjcookartist.com or 860-539-4457.

My next project will be two acrylic paintings, one of a sunflower and the other a pineapple. I am still working on the seascape oil painting and should have my next step done soon. So check back for my post on painting the ocean wave.
Thanks, PJ
