Beach Cottage Furniture - Sandpiper Birds Painted on a Sofa Table
I have finished the sofa table, it is painted in a beach cottage furniture style with an off-white crackled finish. The sandpiper birds are running along the beach just like you see them when you are at the beach. My painting is a vignette so the crackled finish shows through the painting at the edges.
The sofa table is 44" long and would be a wonderful addition to any house or cottage with a beach decor theme. This table can be easily shipped as the legs can be removed with one tool. To buy this one of a kind hand painted furniture please email for more info at info@beachcottageart.com
Create your own beach cottage feel with these unique designs that are sure to bring the beach home to you. My next project will be a corner table with the same off-white crackled finish. I will be posting each stage of the project right here on this blog so check back.

Painting Sandpiper Birds Running On the Beach - Second Step In Custom Cottage Furniture
These little sandpiper birds running on the beach makes a great scene for a long table like the sofa table that I'm now painting. The table is 44 inches long and having these birds running across the surface fills the table top nicely. The nice white crackled finish on the table will look great with any cottage furniture setting in a beach cottage or your home with beach theme decor.
I have started painting the birds in acrylic paint. This photo is of the right side of the table top and you can see where I have started painting more detail on one of the birds. I will continue adding more detail to each of the seven birds before I focus on any other area. Check back to see all the detail on the birds.

Blue Crab Bar Stools - Latest Design For Hand Painted Stools and Tables
I had these bar stools at my outdoor art show in Old Lyme this past weekend. These were done as a special order for a customer. They attracted much attention from the people attending the art show. These bar stools were a gift to the owners of a restaurant called The Blue Crab, what a great idea. I enjoyed painting the blue crabs and I will be painting more of them. I can paint any design and color on these stools and tables to match any decor. I offer different heights and styles of chairs, tables and stools, all hand painted with original art. Email for more details. Thanks, PJWednesday, June 17, 2009
Latest Beach Painting Finished

This is my latest acrylic beach painting. I have this painting on the back of a wood chair. I am currently finish the wood grain effect for the chair. It is a whitewash effect so it will look great with any beach or nautical decor. I added the beach roses to the path, I think it adds nice color.
I applied a thick gloss finish to the painting, it gives it some depth. This is the third chair for the beach series. I plan on having four chairs included in the set, one more to go!

The picture to the right is my finished bar stool with a beach path painting on the seat. This path does not have the fence just the beach roses. If you would like information on purchasing any of these send me an email pj@pjcookartist.com
