Next Step In Painting A Seascape

When you compare the previous post of Painting A Seascape with this one you will notice the addition of more details in the painting. I have added the chairs, the beach cottage and more textures like the rocks and sand. I step back often and look at the painting from a distance to compare values and to see where I can improve the painting. This particular beach in Long Island Sound has sand that has a red/pink color in areas along the shore and I have included that in this painting. Look for similar details in your art work to create more interest.

I guess artists look at things much differently.
You see I doubt that I would have noticed the colours in the sand.
Artists must have more attention to detail than most.
