I am continuing to work forward in this large oil painting of the Historic Carousel in Watch Hill, RI. When I say that I am working forward it just means from the background to the foreground. As you can see I have been working on the buildings on the right and the shadows in that area. I have added shadows to the people standing in line to ride the carousel. I worked on improving the shape of the clouds and warmed the color of the distant land. Continually step back to view a painting while you are working is important.
